Longevity is our primary sustainability strategy. A well-designed café interior that endures fifteen years of service avoids repeated demolition, waste, and embodied-carbon expenditure. We specify materials accordingly.
Material Sourcing
- FSC- or PEFC-certified timber as default for all new wood specifications
- Reclaimed and salvaged timber prioritised where structurally appropriate
- Low-VOC paints, adhesives, and sealants throughout
- EU-based suppliers to minimise transport emissions where quality permits
- Brass and copper hardware selected for recyclability and repairability
2026 Commitments
We publish an annual sustainability report detailing material origins, waste diversion rates from site supervision, and carbon offset contributions. Our 2026 target: 90% of specified timber from certified or reclaimed sources across all projects.
Waste Reduction
During fit-out supervision, we work with contractors to segregate construction waste and divert reusable materials — timber offcuts, metal fixtures, and surplus tile — to Berlin recycling partners and community reuse programmes.
Energy Efficiency
Lighting specifications favour LED systems with smart dimming. We advise on insulation improvements during refurbishment projects and recommend high-efficiency HVAC integration where building constraints allow.
Reporting
Clients receive a material origin summary as part of every specification pack. For questions about our environmental practices, contact [email protected].
